Guest guest
Hello all! So, our little Emma is an official DOCband grad!!! It was wierd for the first day or so, now I just LOVE having her fuzzy little head back. 2 months of repo & 2 months of banding, and she's looking absolutely wonderful. The problem now is her darn tilt...it seemed to be under control, but suddenly it's back with vengence. Our therapist is recommending the TOT collar...after the DOC, i'm thinking it will be no biggie...but can anyone tell me of their experiences with it? Is it pretty common for tortbabies? This tilt kills me, I thought she was doing so well...but now that her band is off, maybe I was having a false sense of completion. How long does it take to feel really good about the correction, or will I just feel like I need to stretch her for the next 20 years? Tort is such a sneaky thing, it makes me crazy. Thank you! I posted a message on the tort group too, but I was hoping maybe someone here has had a TOT experience? Or experience with taping? It's difficult, because everyone (hubby, family, friends) thinks she now is perfect (and yes, of course she is) but the dumb tilt is just so apparant to me, and in the way she compensates with her shoulders for the tightness. It makes me crazy. , mommy to Emma tort/plagio/DOC band grad Cleveland, OH
