Hi Sue,

you're on ! I am stalled too .... lost 5 pounds initially on first week of

induction , and just finished induction with having gained 1 1/2 of that

back .

Hi Sue!

That is wonderful that you are getting motivated again.

I had been stalled for a few weeks, so I decided to do the program that

our Y started. You count carbs (but not as strictly...I usually eat around

50 g. which is still a LOT less than what I used to eat before starting

Atkins), protein, calories (1200 for my weight) and fat. At first I thought

this was going to be so hard, but it really hasn't been. I eat 6 mini meals

a day now instead of 3 big meals and I drink at least 96 oz. of water if not

more. I've lost 2 lbs. since starting this WOE last Wednesday.

The reason that I have stayed on this list is because I plan to switch

plans every couple of weeks so my body doesn't get used to just one way of

eating, and hopefully that will keep me from stalling again.

works for me... Mondays are always a good starting day ... gives me that

added carrot-on-a-stick to tide me over the weekend

Hi Sue

Okay, I'm up for the challenge--I'm stalled at 177--started at 180 and lost 6

pounds and now am back up to 177--I'd really like to get down to 150 or 155.

I always used to be around 125 to 130--but now I'm older and just starting

thru menopause and I think I need to be realistic so anywhere from 150-160

would make me pretty happy right now.

Hi Sue

I made myself a quesadilla on a la tortilla tortilla with swiss cheese and

ham with some avocado on the side and some sour cream. (14.4 carbs minus 9.6

fiber on my diet) Boy am I thirsty today. I just keep the water coming. I

did forget to take my vits and potassium this morning so I'll do that at

lunch. I think lunch will be a shrimp salad with some avocado on it and blue

cheese dressing. The avocado has some carbs in it (.8 per tbsp) but it's so

good for me and I just love it. And then some leftover salmon and salad for

dinner. I've really got to get control of my sodium intake I think--it's

pretty high. The nice thing is that with mastercook, I've been writing down

everything I eat and drink (yes even the wine) and so I can look back and see

EXactly why I haven't lost any weight. Ha, ha....

Good going on your day so far. Taco salad sounds yummy.

Ok for me and the challange SUE

I am 179 today I'd like to be 170 by 9/21 I will be going away the 22nd

Hoping by then to be 170 and willhave 5 lbs tomy goal so is why I am

giving myself only 9 lbs,my time is just gtting ovr....I stalledon the

weekend not for cheating but the consitpation and proably over do on the

chesecake :)))))

186/ on 8/30/99 first day of Atkins WOL

179 on 9/6/99

165 goal wt but may like to go to 160!!!!

HI Sue...well thats my problem I think...a bite here , a bite there...and

then the guilt....then I get this feeling of just throwing in the towel.So

im gonna start it over today to.....would it be to much if i posted what I

ate. It would be like checking in for me. Good news is I started at 185 and

i now am at 180....so to day will be the start of my induction....this is

why I havent been participating in the chats or replying to any

conversations...but been reading faithfully out there.By the way i wish

everyone a WONDERFUL LABOR DAY!!!

Sue!!

I am back and I am responding to you challenge cause I have cheated terribly

this weekend!! I am at 162 today and I want to break 160 at least this month

and maybe break 150 by the end of October!!!

I also wanted to send this web site out again so that the new ppl can use it,

it tells how to find the foods with the hidden carbs. It requires math, which

as some of you know I don't do well, but the whole web site is worth the

No not a problem this is what i had for today so far

breakfast

2 eggs fried in butter over easy and about 15 pieces

of bacon yes yes i know that is alot but i pig bacon

oink oink when i cook it but at .5 carbs for 2

slices my breakfast was only about 6 carbs

lunch was a taco salad id say about 4 or 5 carbs for

this I was at wendys with the family and could measure

it was about 1/2 cup ;ettuce a 1/2 cup meat a ladle

of the melted cheese 2 table spoons of tomatoes and 2

table spoons of sour cream.

Hi Penny

Hey, I had a craving for pizza but the one pizza place near us wasn't open

today because of Labor Day--I was saved today--but Pizza is my downfall. I

did read somewhere that if you just eat the toppings--no crust--it can still

work for you.

I'll do it with you Sue. I wasn't happy with my scale on Friday (personally

I think it's hatching a plot against me). I'm going on a cruise on Oct 9 for

my 10th wedding anni. I want to be 275 by then. I've already made breakfast

for 3 days this week and tomorrows lunch. I'm ready for the challenge.

Bev,

I should have thought of that, but alas it is too late!! LOL It's my

daughter's 15th b-day today!! I think I am eating cause I am depressed!! She

is getting older and so am I!! I will get over it though! I still have an 11

month old to keep me feeling young!!!!

MONDAYS ARE GOOD........I weighed in at 180...so ill start from

there...Breakfast......2 boiled eggs and 6 slices of bacon.......for Lunch I

had 4 slices of ham.....2 slices of cheese.....and i made wraps...with 2

boiled eggs..and a pickle.

Dinner I have a chicken breast layed out...gonna bake it(looking thru

recieps ) and asparagus......is that allowed..its 3 gms.....for every

half-cup>>>>.

ha, ha...you are funny---I make the best pizza crust in the world I've been

told but I hate the way I feel after I eat so many carbs so for right now I

can give it up...I don't know about tomorrow.

Hi Penny

I understand completely where you're coming from--I'm going to turn 50 next

june (2000)--I feel old--really old sometimes--but it helps me get focussed

on a goal of 140 (maybe) by June of 2000.
