Guest guest
Hello Everyone, It's here from Australia, bringing you all up to date with what's happening on my journey with Armour thyroid. Last week I saw my new endocrinologist, quite a nice woman, listened to me & is willing to work with me. She didn't know about natural thyroid, so she took my folder of research information on Armour, plus testimonies of people changing over from synthetic's to natural thyroid medication, & is going to read it. One question she did ask me was: Did any of the other women have thyroid cancer? I couldn't answer her as I didn't know. The Oroxine (sythetic thyroid) that I'm on, suppresses certain things that relate to the cancer. I only know that oroxine suppresses TSH, I don't know what she means about 'other' things that it does. I didn't think to ask at the time, but in 6 weeks when I see her again, I will ask what she meant. My calcium is very low & that's due to the fact that my parathyroid's are not working properly, so I am back on taking Rocaltrol (synthetic Vit D). Next time I see her I will be asking if their is a 'natural' alternative to this drug. I've told her how I want to convert over to natural thyroid medication & that I'm taking 16mcg of natural thyroid each day.She will let me know in 6 weeks after she has done her own research whether she thinks natural is just as good as synthetic & will be o.k. about me taking it. I hope she will be agreeable for me to take the Armour, if not, then I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. Regards & best wishes to you all, bye for now, love
