is right and take ever wiggle of a toe as a victory. If I could shuffle

to the bathroom, I thought that was great. Even trying to lift you legs in your

bed up and down is a start, you are programming your brain and body, that we are

supposed to be moving.

Also do some negative resistance exercise to strengthen you muscles, squeeze

your butt muscles together, release. Repeat that as many times as you can. You

had mentioned to me you were bed bound ? Using a wheelchair ? If that is

correct, those bed exercises can be done. It is called range of motion

exercises and just do them for all you limbs and learn to give yourself

exercises holding palms against palms etc. That gets the muscles to contract

and relax.

If you can move about, chose a goal everyday such as walk ten feet, then 15 and

add to it. You can add a functional assessment part of the pain dairy I was

talking about and you can put your exercises under a comment section which is

what I did. I added: Heat, hot tub, stretches, ben gay to the bottom so the

Doctor knew I was doing other things to assist in controlling my pain.

I also put my mental out look. Even putting down, washed two loads of clothes

may not be much to others but it was a great victory to me and when I told my

husband, he would be impressed.

Even getting up and putting on clothes will change your outlook. I hope for you

a good new year and there are great members here that will cheer you on and

has over come a lot and her sharing inspires all of us.

Each post I read inspires me and I drag myself up and say, I can do this and

even I just get up, it is more than lying down. So set those obtainable

goals and DON " T beat yourself up as says.

I look forward to see the post of all the progress you have and will be making.

Thinking of you, My Son just told me he was spending Christmas Dinner with his

girlfriend, and we are not going to be able to get to my Dad's so as in The

Christmas Story where the dogs ate the Turkey, my husband and I will be eating

at the Cafeteria.

I almost did the Mom Guilt remark like " Thanks, we are not family anymore, but

this girlfriend is SO wonderful and I want him to have a good relationship with

her family " So, I did good, I did not let that depression get me and

don't let it get you.

Watch Blazing Saddles again. Thinking of you and you are a great addition to

our group. Bennie
