Guest guest
Tina, It doesn't matter what the stick says, as long as you are in Ketosis. You can be trace or moderate, it all means that you are losing fat. Sometimes people stall out losing weight and still lose inches, in a couple weeks you might notice some looseness in your clothes. You will start losing again. especially if your in Ketosis. don't get discouraged, just know that your body is losing fat and eventually it will show up on the scales. Guest guest
, what a great idea. I have thought about journaling during this diet, but have not really been motivated enough to do it. Hearing you tell how journaling has helped you is a real inspiration, thanks! Jerilyn

Guest guest
Tina, I have started a journal and every day I write down my weight, the color of the ketosis stick, what I have eaten that day, how much water I have consumed and anything unusual (such as a cold, etc.) This way I figure I can look back and see what things helped or hindered me. I also try to take less stock in the what the scales say, but instead just look back over the page in the journal and take real pride in knowing I did all the things I needed to today and at SOME point that will make a difference in either weight or inches! Guest guest
, That is a terrific idea. I think I'll start a journal too. It might help track down why I'm yo-yoing. Thanks for the tip. Beth/Citywolf

Guest guest
Hi Penny My dr told me to take 1500 mg a day going into menopause--calcium that is. So maybe that will make it easier for me--so far it's not bad--just a few hot flashes now and then. Bev
Guest guest
Hi Sounds like you have the perfect plan--we'd all do better if we had a dr check us out each week!! My dr is so busy--since we have such a huge dr shortage here--that I'm sure he'd commit me if I suggested it--but I wonder if he'd agree to let the nurse see me once a week--I'm going to check it out--Thanks for the info Bev

Guest guest
Corrine Netzer makes a " Carbohydrate Dieter's Diary " which I use every day to write down what I eat, and the number of carbs in each item. There is also a little carb counter in the back of the book. My doctor has agreed to see me once a week to check in - he checks my book, does my blood pressure and weighs me, and give me a little pep talk. It's been really helpful. Plus, writing it down and seeing how much each thing is, makes a huge difference in the way I eat. Gainesville
Guest guest
Bev - I can't see why he wouldn't let the nurse weigh you and take your blood pressure. And it really helps me to keep on track. I hate having to admit to him if I cheated! Good luck! Gainesville
