Guest guest
I was just thinking about some of your posts and wondering if any of you have grandmother's with BPD? My nada's mother never spoke a word when we were around. She sat and stared straight ahead. My nada explained it as her having had rheumatic fever as a young woman and it changed her forever. I have always wondered if she was severely depressed. I always thought my nada was frightened about the possibility of her ending up the same way. As a teenager, I was scared thatit ran in the family and I might get it. All I can connect is the abandonment issue with my nada. She hangs onto me like she did to my fada (codependency). Instead of showing " normal " fear in situations, she becomes downright mean (my husband calls her behavior " evil " . She flips from being sweet and Christian to hateful and demeaning. How did I end up with any trust and compassion left? We are always reaching for answers, aren't we?
