Guest guest
Moderator's note: is no longer a member of the group. Jennette Thanks for the information, we will have to be dropping our service as my husband just got notice that 80 people are getting let go due to budget cuts in his state job. We probably will get the information March April. He has been there twelve years but it doesn't matter, nine thousand people are being laid off in state jobs, so unemployment goes up. It doesn't make sense as it creates unemployment that the state has to pay for them being laid off. I am aware of the process, It doesn't make sense. My husband works with a brain cyst that he can drop over dead if it blocks his cerebral fluid. I think , a member of our group had this surgery done but my husband is just being monitored. there are many members here that have really bad circumstances that are trying to make it and will empathize but making negative remarks about yourself only reinforces the problem not solutions. I try to use Reality Therapy by Glasser techniques. My husband is going to lose his job, I can concentrate on that or concentrate on encouraging him in getting a job somewhere else and cut down expenses everywhere and work with our family budget. We cannot continue to pay for tuition for our son so he had to get a job, he has a year left but needs to get his GPA up. He has to be realistic and is doing well at his job as a " gaming tester " , playing video games and making sure they are operational (What he loves) I prayed for him to get something he likes. I am not perfect and have my fears of losing my home, my husband, and left with nothing but I cannot do that as it will just make me worry more. I appreciate you sharing the information and all of us are working on financial stability and our pain conditions have robbed us of many parts of our life but I will not allow events to take me or my sanity. Sorry about the rambling but we have to stay strong and not be taken by bad events. you could apologize to Catholic Charities and tell them how thankful you are for their support and you will do better, that is the positive way and will probably get better service. Just my opinion. Bennie
