Cherries worked for me!

Hi, I'm new here. I've suffered low back pain 20 plus years (L-3, L-4, L-5

bulging, degenerative and arthritic disks) with little relief from

prescriptions, epidurals, physical therapy, chiropractic, etc. Last summer I

ate cherries almost every day and noticed that my back pain had severely

decreased! I'd read some articles on cherries relieving gout and arthritis pain,

but hadn't made a steady a diet of them before.

By October cherries were off market and the back pain returned as vengeful as

ever - despite walking daily and Yoga. I could only find dried tart cherries

and I swear to you - as soon as I started eating them I almost immediately got

relief from the back pain. They are now a daily part of my diet - just maybe

they can help some of you. I eat about 10 in morning with breakfast and when I

remember, I try to eat 5 or 10 in the afternoon.

Have a blessed holiday,

JoAnn

Moderator Note: Most cherries are sweet.

How do you stand the bitterness? Of course comparing the bitter taste of

cherries to the pain is a no-brainer! The pain is worse!

I take cherry extract in capsules. I believe it's called " Tart Cherry

Actives. " Just one capsule is equivalent to about 1 cup of cherries.

I agree that the cherries help a lot. I do eat cherries like they're going out

of style. I eat them fresh whenever possible, I also enjoy frozen, and I even

cook with them. When in a hurry or when I feel I need more or when they're not

available or not in season, I take them in capsule form.
