Guest guest
I've been a lurker in this group, watching posts and learning. Thanks everybody for posting and sharing. My abdominal myo is October 2. Today was odd, last day at work, wrapping things up. It's " showtime " ! I've never been away from work for more than a week, ever. I'm blessed in so many ways, but frankly, kissing my lucky stars that I got my @%*$ period today. Okay, if one thing in this journey would go right, it's that I get my period a week early. Damn, but I can't take anything for the pain. Oh well. Six months ago I was healthy and non-symptomatic. Years of routine gynos (different gynos too) with nothing noticed. Huge symptoms in June, routine gyno in July, bingo. Rapid journey, but at least I know what it is. In keeping with the " fruit " theme I have a large grapefruit and a tangerine. Backside. All the tips and suggestions in this group have given me my own list of " stuff to do " and " stuff to buy " . I hereby promise to share and post my experience so other people like me, facing the same thing, can feel the same thing I've felt from reading the posts of others. Sharing. Experience. Comfort. Guest guest
Dear Suzanne, I had a myo about 10 days ago. I'm doing OK. While surgery and recovery is no picnic, the anticipation is worse. Best thing to do pre-myo is to try to relax as best you can, think positive, happy thoughts and keep in mind that after surgery, you will be fibroid free, no longer a " fibroid broad " . It sucks that we have to go through this myo stuff, but, this is the hand fate dealt. So, I accepted it and faced it and I lived to talk about it! Don't forget that when you leave the hospital, take a pillow so you can hold it against your tummy should the car you're riding in hit a pot hole. Everything will be fine. Good luck and let us know how you are doing. Greta > I've been a lurker in this group, watching posts and learning. > Thanks everybody for posting and sharing. > > My abdominal myo is October 2.
