Guest guest
Hi Everyone, Although i am nowhere near as qualified as most people here i can speak from experience. I was borderline hypo for years, then i read somewhere that soy is extremely beneficial for women's hormones. I had soy milk on my cereal, drank soy milk and took very potent soy supplements. It was just weeks after that i was diagnosed full blown hypo (quite severely) and to this day i remain convinced that the soy was 100% to blame for " tipping me over the edge " - since then i have dallied with it occasionally, i dont do dairy so i have tried soy milk on my morning oatmeal, but after only a few days my hypo symptoms worsen and now i avoid it like the plague. Guest guest
so!! a good lesson here - if you know you're having a problem and your doctor doesn't believe borderline levels are good enough (even borderline abnormal levels, as was my case) - If I took soy, it might have pushed me to be treated!! but also - I wonder if people who don't know to not take soy, would have their meds adjusted if they went off of the soy.
