The methylcobalamin is sublingual, too. Glad to hear that it is helping you. Just curious is yours the cyanocobalamin or the methylcobalamin? I think it is usually listed under the ingredients as to the source. Thanks
Guest guest
Hi, I can personally " testify " about the benefits of B-12. My doctor was going to start giving me shots of it for anemia, but I said, no, I had a better idea (since I have major shot phobia). I started taking SUBLINQUAL B-12. What this means is that the B-12 dissolves under the tongue and all of the vitamin gets into the system through the capillaries under the tongue. When B-12 is taken by swallowing a pill, most of it is just flushed out of the body and is not absorbed. The sublingual form can be found in most health food stores. It is sometimes called " No-Shot B-12. " I started taking it a couple of months ago and it has really helped improve my stamina and overall health. I do believe it has helped my neuropathy some as well, as my legs seem less stiff and inflexible than they used to be. Blessings, Jim __________________________________________________
Guest guest
I started taking SUBLINQUAL B-12. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>. Thanks Jim, I'll check it out. What dosage do you take and how often. I can't get an MD down here to give it to me in shot form and I know that the pills are essentially worthless. Art Art Mc moseart@... Guest guest
Hi, In answer to the questions. No. 1 how much B-12 I take and No. 2.... Hi Jim, I forgot to add that. The methylcobalamin is sublingual, too. Glad to hear that it is helping you. Just curious is yours the cyanocobalamin or the methylcobalamin? I think it is usually listed under the ingredients as to the source. Thanks I have been taking 1,000 mcg. per day. I always take it in the morning because it affects me like I've drunk about a half cup of coffee - a little energy boost. The type is the cyanaoco--------------. I don't know whether that's the preferred version, but I can say it has worked for me. Guest guest
That's interesting. I had totally forgotten about the B-12 under the tongue. I can't even remember why I was talking the Pharmacist about taking the shots and he said the same thing and recommended me taking it. I took one bottle and then didn't bother to get any more. You don't even have to get a prescription for it. Thanks for reminding me. I sure do need something to give me a little " oomph " again. The old " get up and go " has just about " got up and went " . LOL Tootie Re: B-12 that helps most ..I started taking SUBLINQUAL B-12. Guest guest
Jim, I too am allergic to shots...haha....What dosage of the sublingual b-12 is the suggested dose? I don't have any neuropathy, but I wonder if this would help keeping it at bay, and I am also on Glucophage 1000mg XR....Will the b-12 hurt my liver? I avoid anything that may hurt my organs in the long run, and as of now I only take the Glucophage and 1 adult low dose aspirin daily. Any info that anyone has concerning the b-12 would help! I >would NEVER give her anything without talking to them >first. > I understand. I guess i got paranoid for a second since I kinda got the discussion going. That being said if the doctor recommends it, I think you'll find it very easy giving it to her because it tastes like a sweettart. Let us know what the docs tell you. I am curious if they recommend it as a preventative. Thanks
