Guest guest
First, yes, the iliopsoas is a muscle in the leg. Stedman's Ortho shows TFL = tensor fascia lata, which is a muscle in the gluteal region. Of course, we all know that abbreviations can mean different things. If you hear TFL, then I'd advise transcribing it since we can document a muscle in the region of examination with this acronym. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Webmedx employee Career Step graduate, 10/02/01 Experience: 7 months My Home Page: http://www.renesue.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ortho Word Can anyone tell me if I am using the correct word and acronym here? 3. ROM: The patient has full painless ROM of the hip and lumbar spine. Testing of the s/l iliopsoas and s/l TFL are within normal limits.
