Guest guest
Don't endo's inspire the strangest emotions!!!! are there any that inspire peace and happiness??? or isn't that covered in their training. I think that endocrinology attracts the theoretical book- loving geeks who have never managed a normal relationship in their lives..........and wouldn't recognise well-being if it hit them in their face..... I am glad that your Aunt has an appt. to see Dr. Skinner...I'm sure he will get to the bottom of her problems..and your Aunt is blessed having a neice like you.... I am just off to the GP with my DH....he has had TFT's done..and they aren't normal...that's all we know, they wouldn't tell us over the phone. I have thought he was hypo for ages...but having seen how ill I was on T4 he wouldn't go to see the doc in case they made him ill too!..but now he's seen me on Armour....he's agreed to go... I'll let you know how it goes... Love to you, Fluffy (cat...but would like a poodle too!) > Hello, > Thanks all for the huge response and brain power given to my Aunt's > situation with high T3. > I called Dr Skinner's office today & spoke to his sec. Guest guest
Your poor DH, I hope he's okay & that he can go straight onto Armour. He's in good hands with you & I'm sure he'll feel better once treated with Armour!! Good luck, Love Fee (who would also love a poodle & has a big fluffy ginger & white tom cat - a gift from dh after having thyroidectomy)
Guest guest
The receptionaist had told us that becasue they hadn't written normal next to the results we would need to get from the doc or nurse.....and guess...when we got there they were normal!!!!! TSH 0.54 and TT4 104..so no explanation for his symptoms..but when we got in he started straight off telling her about this bad loin pain ( I had no idea he still had this!!!)...she examined his kidneys and reluctantly referred him for a scan. We then asked for the Thyroid panel results..they were normal, but his WBC and RBC were really down. She told us that she didn't have time to discuss that so we would need to make another appt. She obviuosly isn't married or she would know how hard it is to get DH's to the doc..the last time he went was 4 years ago...and she tells us to make another appt. to discuss the bloods...can't discuss loin pain and bloods in one session...but what if the one is causing the other?????? I just don't get it....we were in with her for about 5 mins at the most! It worries me that both is red blood cell and white blood cell were down..and he obviously isn't well..... I just think they have a big black mark next to our family name...Troublemaker!!!!! get her out as soon as possible..... Yours in Frustration, Fluffy.....feeling great on 2 grains.. > Your poor DH, I hope he's okay & that he can go straight onto > Armour. Guest guest
Hello fluffyowl2000, f> What do you think...is it worth following up..DH wants to wait six f> months.... f> in the meantime I have to live with a bear with a sore head!!!!! I'd get it checked again in about a month/6 weeks max - the results could be very low for him which will make him feel bad even if its just outside normal range for men in general. Also try and get a ferritin done though i suspect that would be more likely to get done after a repeat full blood count with reduced Hb and rbc. Six months is quite a while if there is something going on. I'd consider whether he is a regular blood donor, or has any possible bleeding eg bleeding piles or anal fissure and consider what he normally eats -eg is he vegetarian? Also does he smoke? -- Best regards, Alison http://www.alisonashwell.com mailto:alison.ashwell@... new work uploaded http://www.artwanted.com/alisonashwell http://www.voodoochilli.net/artists/alisonashwell/
Guest guest
The problem with most endos is that they are NOT reading the books. If they did, they would find out how wrong they are! Guest guest
Because of the low blood counts, and time can be if tge essence with these, she needs to be reported. Re: High T3 latest... Guest guest
Definitely follow up on this now. This is not something that can wait for six months. Re: High T3 latest...
