They want it from the Dr. but I have to go to the orthotist place not the Dr.'s every week. I sure could use the help. Kristy
Guest guest
Hi Kristy, I emailed our one member who I know for a fact used Angel Flights. I can't think of who else used them, we've had a few members use them. I asked Annie to pop on to the board and help you out. In the meantime, call the Cranial Tech office you're going to use and ask them what you should do. I'm sure they'll know. Please let us know how you make out. > > > > > > Anyone ever use Angel Flight for transportation? We have to > travel > > 3 > > > hrs one way to Ross's appts. Guest guest
Hi Kristy, I used it a number of times with my daughter. Angelina has just graduated from her local helmet on Dec 02nd at 14 mos but we had to travel to another city for treatment. We have to either take a ferry or fly as we live on Vancouver Island in B.C. Canada. I had nothing but great experiences with them and they are a very dedicated bunch of professionals - all volunteers as well. Our flight was about 25 minutes long each way. I could even hold Angelina if I preferred (which I did sometimes as she was a very fussy baby and cried easily). We didn't use it all the time and made the 10 hr ferry including driving every three weeks because it does not include ground transportation, that is for cancer patients only. If you have someone on the other side to chauffer you, great. If you go to their website, it will give you a contact number in your area. At that point, someone can email you the travel permission form which you must take to your doctor to clear you and the baby for flying. I did not have to do this each time as they got to know me and it was fairly frequent at times. Anyways, hope this helps, if you want anymore info, just email me again! , mommy to Angelina 14 mos with tort, local helmet grad Dec 02nd in Canada and mom to 2, Abbey 4 and Sam 12 -----Original Message-----From: klsd7360 [mailto:klsd7360@...]Sent: Wednesday, December 22, 2004 2:23 PMPlagiocephaly Subject: Angel FlightAnyone ever use Angel Flight for transportation? Guest guest
Thanks to all that responded to my questions about Angel Flight. I sent all the paperwork to them on Monday and by Tuesday afternoon we already had a volunteer pilot. We travel next Wed. Ross got his helmet on Monday and is doing wonderful. He doesn't even know its on him. Kristy Ross (5 1/2 months)
