I was eating peanuts for a while and found that it caused me to stall ,so I

stay away from them.As for mash potatoes, someone had posted a recipe for

califlower that was suppose to taste a lot like potatoes.Look in the archives

on the onelist.

Hi Jules,

I always try to keep hard boiled eggs and tuna salad in the fridge. I also

keep a few different kinds of cheese on hand too. Deli turkey and roast beef

is another must have. Make sure that they aren't honey roasted or maple

cured though. I'm doing this for 5 weeks now and still can't believe I'm

losing weight. Good luck: )

Penny -- There is ABSOLUTLY no way to mess this one up..In a large fry

pan..(I use a fork and keep breaking up the meat as I cook it) .start with

1/2 lb ground beef plus about same amt of sausage.....add about 1T

dehydrated onions...2C chopped up eggplant...1 nice sized green

pepper....chopped garlic in oil (to taste) salt / pepper (to taste) - about

1/2C water Cover - cook on low heat about 20 min. (until eggplant is

tender - keep checking in case you have to add a little water so it doesnt

stick)

Want it spicey...add some hot sauce or whatever comes to mind. I tend to

cook by the seat of my pants.....you know - if it tastes good seperately - it

just might taste good together!

Hi Jules,

First my confession is I love Coffee. So I decided to cut down to 2 cups a

day!

One in the am and 1 in pm. As for the water, I know it is very good for you,

it can speed your metabolism, help flush your system and it is also very

important to keep hydrated.

Most people do not drink enough fluid in a day. I just chose to drink water,

especially through induction so I will not be tempted for juice or soda.

Right now I need to be very strict with myself.

Hey ...I know you were talking to Billie, but I couldn't help butting

in. :-)

I'm way behind on email right now so I haven't been posting much, but I'm

from MS too. Way up north in the corner...in Horn Lake, right outside of

Memphis, TN. My husband went to school in Columbus (he's from here, but went

to high school at MSMS in Columbus). He loved it there. He can't wait until

next May, which is when we go down there for his reunion. I'm excited too,

and that's my goal date for losing my weight. It's not looking good so far,

but I'm hoping it'll pick up speed a little. :-)

Great to have you on the list!!

Bev,

Butt in anytime. I love talking to everybody! Are you sure your husband

went to high schoo lin Columbus? I don't know of any school there called

MSMS, unless perhaps it was a private school? I went to Caldwell (class of

81). The other school was Lee High, but now they've combined the two and

there is just Columbus High now. It's in Caldwell's building.

  • 3 weeks later...

I spent big money last year with an homeopathic doctor that was going

to

cure my body of my allergies. It was a waste of money and I was

miserable

with congestion the whole time..

I agree. I went through the very same experience. It is very tricky.

Every once in a while, I will hit on soemthing that works like a

miracle, but the diagnosis has to be so finely tuned. <ugh>

I have3 had VERY good luck with herbs and cell salts, and especially

The Bavch Rememdies, mostly Rescue Remedy. I use it for just about

everything, and it takes away my asthma, headache, musles spasm, and on

and on. Sheesh -= what a crap shoot. Dr. Ann

I have wondered a lot about the relationship between stress and PSC and/or UC. I have heard that there is not a relationship, however it seems to me that there could be.

Hey All!

As we find the great limitations in western medicine for treating PSC (WHAT treatment?) I thought I would share with you part of my wife's weekly routine.

!. Massage

2. Acupuncture

3. Psychic energy healer

Since she began this a few months ago, her blood levels have improved dramatically, much to her Drs' consternation. She particularly feels the healer helped her get rid of a lot of negative energy which, in turn, has reduced her stress level. This may or may not be your cup of tea, but it seems to be helping her.

On another topic...

Lee, have you tried crushing Bill's pills and putting the powder in water?
