Guest guest
I am getting ready to write my final insurance appeal for medical necessity (DOC band) and I would like to include examples of problems that can occur when banding is not done. I was thinking there was a post on here recently where someone was describing TMJ or some other jaw problem with an older child who had untreated brachycephaly. Any help or comments would be greatly appreciated.

Guest guest
Hi . It has been written in a number of articles that untreated plagio can lead to migraine, chronic ear infections, TMJ, and in some cases, due to facial assymetry, optical issues. Check out our links section under Plagiocephaly Studies and Research. When I was researching early on I found a ton of great information there. There is also a group for parents of older kids with plagio. You might be able to find some information there to help you. Just some ideas. let us know if you need anymore help.
