Guest guest
Hi Alison, have you had an accident or brain injury? I will admit that some of my reading/recognition problems seem similar to dyslexia but I thought that was a condition that you were born with. I tend to think that perhaps it is a blood supply to the brain problem - caused by thyroid probs, I don't know. I do know that these problems only started when I first went hyper with thyroiditis and then hypo later on. I do identify with your other points about becoming a recluse and also being overwhelmed by small things. Others have mentioned CHAOS (can't have anyone over, the house is a mess syndrome) Well, I will admit my house is usually a mess but that's not what stops me socialising, more the fact that I just can't be bothered and I have actually come to the point where I really don't like people anymore. Internet lists like this are great because you can choose to interact or not but in a social situation other people prejudge you and think you are just a miserable $%^ & It is probably a good thing that my dh has never been much of a social animal. Guest guest
Alison----I only had the writing problems when I was HYPERthyroid. I really didn't know what was wrong with me at the time, all I knew was that I was starting to write like a child again. I had developed an intention tremor too, and thought that it was just " nerves " .
Guest guest
I surely know that one----non socialization. They're all saying that this can also be an adrenal problem, as well as hypothyroidism. For awhile I would feel like I had run around a football field, just to sit in a restaurant and have a little conversation with anyone, as though I had been doing heavy exercise or been on a centrifuge. It is a very peculiar feature of this disease/these two diseases. Re: Re[2]: Re: Getting T3 tested under the NHS Hi Alison, have you had an accident or brain injury? Guest guest
heheh. Sounds like somebody has been visiting the flylady.net website. I love the description of CHAOS! I think the worst part about being sick for me was not being able to do what I needed to do around my house. It wasn't bad enuff that I was sick, but too sick to even stand and cook. Flylady sure has a way of teaching you shortcuts and easier ways to accomplish goals. :-) SandyE~Houston Re[2]: Re: Getting T3 tested under the NHS i have always been a compulsive reader - reading usually 2 novels a day as well as news sites, 400 or so emails etc.
