Guest guest
Neurontin. well I took it for 8 years; 600 mgs twice a day and 900 mgs at night making a total of 2100 mgs a day, and had the hot flashes and the memory loss and it felt like I was going through menopause forever and rushing headlong into Alzheimers. Since I was working 40+ hours a week at 2 jobs, I was an RN, and needed to run around like a 20 year old chicken with my head cut off! I also did stretches that helped to release the jumble of nerves but you can't work of your feet all day and then just decide to drop down to the floor and do some stretches as the other nurses and patients might think you have lost what little mind you had left. So last year I said good by to the Neurontin and did not replace it with anything else. I'm am not working either so I can manage, more or less, the burning pain with the stretches and I keep up with my yoga and Pilates and walking, or I should say the 2 of the my 3 big dogs walk me. As with anything though that you take, it is totally a personal decision and you can only do what is best for you.
