Guest guest
no tips on the odor for ya. Our's stinks too but only when it hasn't been cleaned. What if you let it dry under a light? Also, CT told us that his band would turn yellow to not worry about trying to keep the inside white. >From: " & Amber " <ginaandamber@...> >Reply-Plagiocephaly >Plagiocephaly >Subject: Shewwwweeee....stinky little head!!! >Date: Wed, 29 Dec 2004 17:28:03 -0000 > > >I am at my wits end on how to keep my wee man's little head from >stinking so bad! Guest guest
Wish I knew. Kennedy's head and band smell like wet gym socks. I use Baby Don't Cry shampoo which works great on her hair...but the band STINKS! I scrub it too. I am embarrassed by the smell because a lot of people apparently like to sniff baby heads and my baby's head is not sweet smelling. It has been so rainy here in Texas that I have not been able to try the "sit it in the sun" thing. Any other suggestions? Guest guest
I totally feel you on the embarrassed thing. I feel like people are going to think I don't bathe my child or something. Plus, I am in the habit of kissing his little head a zillion times a day. This has certainly put a damper on that! LOL!!! > > I am at my wits end on how to keep my wee man's little head from > stinking so bad! Guest guest
My son, 's Star band has gotten pretty nasty at times. We were told not to get it wet with water b/c if water gets in between the foam and the plastic then it can start to mold. At it's worst we have has to wash 's helmet 8-10 times in a row and put it in the sun (over a two day period) to get rid of the smell. After the two day wash-a-thon we would wash it (with alcohol) twice per day. We are now back to washing it once per day. There has to have been some kind of nasty bacteria growing in there. It was quite warm at the time and would sweat a lot--the helmet was a nice wet, warm, and dark place. We did win the battle though and we haven't has a problem since. I would wash it more often with alcohol until the smell goes away. > > > > I am at my wits end on how to keep my wee man's little head from > > stinking so bad!
