Guest guest
To all, I'm taking a quick survey to see who shops at Kroger markets. They have a great charity program that I am looking into but I want to see how many of you would be interested before I do too much work. It works this way. Buy a Kroger gift card for $100.00. You get to spend all $100.00 on groceries and the foundation would get 5% or $5.00 from Krogers. It works great and it cost each of us.....nothing. We would make sure that our families and friends also used them. They are refillable right at the check out. Right now I am using one for the schools but since my kids are out I would rather contribute to our foundation. Let me know if anyone out there would be interested. Lee ldbria@.... Guest guest
Dera , I too have fantasies of how it will feel when I am tx. It's odd isn't it. After I got over the shock of all the carry on at Chapel Hill I began to realize that there was a life waiting to be lived. Mine. Let me know how you are doing as well as your family. Guest guest
How wonderful ! I wonder if this might be in my future for my own son. I will start taking extra good care of myself , just in case. Guest guest
Well said . Thank you. Sam (North Carolina) -----Original Message----- From: [mailto: ]On Behalf Of CrazrNever04@... Sent: Friday, May 06, 2005 9:28 AM To: Subject: Re: All for one...Ali Dear Ali, Raining cats and dogs, it is! (If I were a veterinarian, I guess I wouldn't be so concerned. :-)) We're managing anyway. I will call to find out how Nana is doing today, all I know is that she's still in the hospital. They are hoping to get her stable and transfer her to rehab, in a nursing home near her home. My aunt said she would call if they got the word that they were going to transfer her. I haven't received such call. I am to meet my brother , at his doctor just a few hours after I meet with the tx team on May 9. His appt. is right down hwy. 70 from mine, so at least it's convenient. I asked yesterday if she'd made an appt. yet and she said no. She said she thinks the 'jaundiced look' is all in her head. She will be here tonight so we will discuss it further. I'd love to just hog tie her and wheel her up to the doc, but she's 21 and throwing my weight around doesn't work as well as it once did. I'm hoping to talk some sense into her PDQ, though! As far as writing... get this, I write about overcoming, mostly. I focus on the facts that you don't have to be special, or have a genius I.Q., or anything of the sort. It's all about choices. Everyone is an overcomer, some are just disguised better than others. We all contain the potential within, it's a matter of making the choice every day, if necessary, to tap into the well of resources and overcome one day at a time. Using past experiences to settle for a " victim stance " is a Rx for a miserable life. That only leaves a person feeling powerless and angry. Take the good side of all that happens (and there is always something good to take from things) apply it to your life, making you a better person, and go on. I want others to see that they don't have to settle for a life of uncontrollable misery. I have found it best to allow yourself to feel whatever you feel about an event, but don't allow it to take up residency. When pain, anger, resentment reside within, no one is harmed by these emotions except the vessel in which they are stored. No one wants/needs to spend their lives this way. Life is precious, as we know, and I hate to see anyone waste such a wonderful gift, when they don't have to. Sorry about the soap box, I know I'm preaching to the choir, here! I've met you... you won't need to purchase a magazine or book of mine. In fact I'm sure we could be co-authors! Well, enough for now. Talk to you soon and thank you for the good vibes, I'm sure we'll need them all. (MO)
