Guest guest
<< Personally, I was interested to read the mail about the sleeping arrangements because that did per>> I too found the topic very interesting and related to HI kids. Our son wasnt diagnosed until after he was 2, and then he was misdiagnosed, so he wasnt aided until he was 5 yrs old. When he was 3 his dad went to Japan for a 6 month tour and began sleeping in a " big bed " . It was horrible. It was a battle every night to get him to bed and I cried almost every night. He ended up sleeping with me almost the whole time his dad was gone. I think it had to do a lot with his dad being gone, but I also think a big part of it was the hearing loss and that he was absolutely terrified to be in the room alone. When dad got back he went back to his room with no problems other than he wanted a night light. Now at the age of 7 he has to have the door to his room left open at night and he has a Yoda(hes a huge Star Wars fan)light that he keeps next to the head of the bed. He also has a strobe light smoke detector installed in the middle of the room, between his bed and his brothers. mom to . 7. severe-profound loss, Siemens bicros aids , 5, who thinks shes Britney Spears ph, 2, who is getting into everything!!! ===== Our Family Page: http://johansenfamily.homestead.com/ ********************************************************** As of today 20 firefighters have died in the line of duty since Jan.1,2001. May they watch over those of us who continue to fight the dragon, and may they be waiting at the gates for those brothers and sisters that are also called home. __________________________________________________
