Guest guest
Hi Zanna Welcome to the group, my name is Jodie and I am the mother of Madeleine (almost 3) who has Juvenile Dermatomyositis.Hope to chat to you soon . Again Welcome Jodie New Member Hi everyone! My name is Zanna Hall. I live in California and just returned from the conference where I met Vicki who told me about this group. I am very excited that she told me about it. I also met Teddi, Candy and want to say Hi to Bill Greene. I didn't have a chance to talk to you at the conference but would have loved too. I didn't realize that you are 'dad4dogs'! I always read your postings on the MAA board adn didn't realize that you were him until I got home today and logged on again. I was in the pm group that you were in on Friday night. I was the one with the 11 year old daughter there. She is a great source of support to me, as I am the patient! She tries to be my caregiver, bless her heart! I hope you all made it home OK. It was a great experience. I can't wait to do it again. Vicki and Teddi, I hope you had fun at the zoo. Teddi, I want to say thank you again for the bracelet that you made (this woman is so talented). I will always cherish it and someday, I may share it with my daughter! he he! Candy, I hope you had a nice trip home and hope you got to sleep in your own bed rather than a hotel again Talk to you all later!Take care and God Bless!Zanna M. Guest guest
Hi , My name is Amy, I'm 39 (40 next month) and i live a mere 2 hours away from you. I'm in London. I had AS after a mc and d & c last year. It's been a constant battle to get the right info and to know how to handle it all. My gyne did the D & C and my first lap/hyst and told me everything was fine and " go ahead and ttc but if you have another miscarriage we should probably do any hysteroscopy " . His cavalier attitude didn't sit well with me and I posted all my results on this site. Thanks to the knowledge of the women in this group I have since gotten a 2nd and 3rd opinion. I did a phone consult with 's doctor on the condition of my uterus and the fertility clinic's drug protocol (I'm in donor insemination program) and he said both were wrong. I then went to a very well respected RE for a 3rd opinion and he agreed entirely with Dr. Katz. I now have to see a new surgeon (Dr. Vilos and supposedly one of the best in Canada) do the hysteroscopy a 2nd time and hopefully I will again be able to ttc. At this point the outlook is grim since my eggs are deteriorating quickly but I'm not out of the game quite yet. This group has been a godsend to me. Without the support and information the women of this group provide I would have become a total basket case not to mention I would have spent the bomb ttc. Whether you decide to proceed or not is a very personal decision but there seem to alot of positive outcomes for our AS sufferers. We have some the pg right now (what I wouldn't give to be them). I hope this group helps you as much as its helped me. Cheers, AmyL
Guest guest
Gwen, You said " Welcome D! Another member in Canada huh? We've had quite a few lately! Very glad you found us. " But I think it should have read " Another member in Canada eh?! " Glenda
