Guest guest Posted May 7, 2001 Report Share Posted May 7, 2001 I just called the principal ( She will expect it a few times in the next two days before my meeting) And she assures me that they do not have to put her on a 504 right away. It will be on the table for discussion from what I'm gathering. Will I loose my rights under IDEA switching over to 504?? Idea seems so much more detailed towards hearing loss than 504. What are my main arguments that IDEA benefits my daughter better than a 504? This school system has been pretty fair to me and I dont want to be blindsided.
