Guest guest
In my continuing saga, I thought I'd let you know about my doctor search. As you'll recall, our pediatrician closed her practice. She was wonderful, into lots of natural ideas, and worked with us to keep Mycah out of the hospital as much as possible. The first replacement doc I interviewed said he couldn't ever allow home IV's. So, if Mycah needed IV antibiotics that would mean ten days in the hospital. So, the doctor we have chosen is in agreement with us that we would try and keep Mycah out of the hospital if possible, and he works with home health places for IV's and he seems like he will really work with us and listen. The negative part is that he is out-patient only and can't admit patients to the hospital. So basically if Mycah needed hospitalization we would take her to our CF center to admit her and that is five hours away. So, although we certainly don't have a perfect solution, at least I can quit worrying about it for now. Thanks JEN and PATRICIA especially for your support on this issue.
