Guest guest Posted February 6, 2011 Report Share Posted February 6, 2011 I cannot believe the pain I have tonight. I know that I cannot be pain free but no one in my entire family has pain like me. There is no way anyone could understand. My grandmother lived to be 95 and didn't have any perceived pain until after she had a stoke at age 94. I'm also the only one in my family whether maternal or fraternal that has had cancer. I just don t get it. I've asked why me?, too many times to think there is actually an answer to such a foolish question. I accept a pain level of 3-4 with just a few problems and if a get a day with as level 2, WOW!!! But today I tried to walk more than I should have and now my hips and lower back are giving me fits. I gained a bunch of weight several years ago while on some psychotropic medication. I weighed around 255lbs and I am 5'5 " tall. So I am very sure that the weight gain did horrible things to my skeletal system. But I lost over 100lbs between 2003-2004. I actually had one year where I didn't feel too bad all of the time, so I was able to walk and join in with life in general. The the cancer hit, Kidney Cancer. I lost a kidney and I now take potassium. My other kidney did not kick in and make up for the loss of the other kidney. We didn't know it until I ended up in the hospital thinking I was having a heart attack. Then I had internal bleeding twice within a short period after that. I've had so many surgeries that I keep a list in my computer to just print them out instead of having to fill out the form when I go to a new doc. I have 10 doctors, and only one of them is my primary care the others are specialists. Oh, better make that 11. I just got another pain doctor. My primary care doctor is an Internal Doctor. I thought that would help, but he doesn't seem to do or know anymore than your General Practitioner. Enough Griping. Sorry. Off to take my night meds 30 minutes early because I really can't take it.
