Welcome, and the rest of you newbies!

You've come to the right place.  This is a nice, safe place to discuss your

issues with chronic pain.  All of us are dealing with the same issues.  Now that

you are a member, you can go to the yahoogroups website and read back through

the messages.  There is a lot of really good advice stored there.  Please join

in whenever you have questions, or just want to vent.

My chronic pain is caused by arthritis, scoliosis, degenerative disc disease,

chronic compression fractures of the spine, and bone/joint/ and muscle atrophy

from being on steroids for a very long time.  I try to take things day by day.

I recently moved to PA (Pennsylvania) and have been amassing a team of

specialists to support me and just recently say a pain management specialist.

I " ve been taking percocet (oxycodone with tylenol 10/325) for about 6-8 years or

so (can't think clearly this time of day).

The pain doctor tried me on Opana just a couple of weeks ago.  There was a big

discussion about that drug just prior to my trying it, so I found that very

helpful.  Unfortunately it didn't work well for me.  The dosage he gave me

wasn't strong enough, but when I doubled it (as he had suggested) it was too

much.  So, I had to go back to the percocet for now.

I hope that your pain doc is able to help with your pain so that you can

function.  Glad to hear that the husband that pushed you is now your x-husband!

Sounds like a lawsuit to me.

Take care!

- PA
