(((((Donna)))))))))) Yes you should try and take your meds around the same time

each day. The reason for this is that you want to maintain a certain blood

level of the medication for it to work as it should.

In a general rule, meds peak action is about 1/2 way through the dose.

Depending on the medication, the time varies for how long it will remain in your

blood. Think of it this way an 8 hr dose will still have a low level of

medication in your system after 8 hrs. If you do not take another dose, about 8

hrs later there will still be a lower level of the medication in your system.

How fast the medication passes out of your body depends of the medication, how

it is broken down and excreted and your metabolish response.

Occasionally forgetting a pill is not the worst thing. If you forget a dose,

and it is a hour later it is usual safe to take the dose. More than an hour

later may not be good if you are due for another dose inless than the usually #

of hours between.

If you are skipping doses frequently, the medication is probably not working

properly. Sometimes the frequency of the dose can be changed. For example from

3x days to 2x/day. Talk to your doctor.

I have trouble remembering to take my muscle relaxer in the afternoon. I put on

the bottle at a certain hour shortly before I am due to take the dose. That

usually helps me remember to take it.

Hope this was of some help. Gentle hugs, Tami

remember to take them is to set the alarm on my cell phone. This works great for

me.
