Guest guest
Stacey, Get up on the wrong side of the bed? If you go back and read Lee's original message, there was nothing wrong with it. Is everyone suppose to know who Tommy H is? I don't. You owe Lee and the rest of the list an apology for mistreating a newbie. I am embarrassed as a list member. Guest guest
, I just wanted to learn about soap. Really don't need to be on a list with someone who flames people or who spreads unfounded rumors. I'll just unsubscribe and buy a book. Guest guest
I was told the same by my GYN. She first prescribed Estrace for severe vulv/vaginal atrophy - very, very painful, skin of vulva shrunken to infant sized genitals, cracked and peeling, and terrible terrible burning pain. I used the Estrace for 8 days and it seemed like a miracle...skin was thriving and improving dramatically. Bam! On the evening of the 8th day I got the mother of all yeast infections - so severe that it was internal, covered the vulva externally and actually was down my legs (inner thighs)! It was horrible. I couldn't wear clothes or sit or do much of anything. After being given meds to clear that up (which was not a simple thing to do), I was then prescribed Vagifem - and BAM! Same infection. Needless to say - I am now not willing to insert estrogen into my vagina! I am using estradiol compounded in Vitamin E Oil on my vulvar skin and my skin has improved. It appears that, from what I have learned from the list, that one can get yeast from too much estrogen (sugary environment of the vagina) or too little estrogen (your explanation below). Its a tricky situation. Believe me, if Estrace internally could take this all away - I'd be applying it all the time. Some ladies don't get a problem with it. As to how it will affect you personally, I'm guessing you won't know til you try. Good luck Dusty To Dusty > > This was the original gyno--not the UCLA specialist. Guest guest
My gyno told me to use the vagifem insert three times a week for the first week and then only twice a week thereafter. That did not seem to give me any yeast...but then again...I never did it for long enough intervals to see it would; when I had a boyfriend it seemed to work. But also at the same time, I was on a strict anti-candida diet and eating a very alkaline diet just for the sole purpose of keeping my vulva in shape since he was into lots of sex! I was also taking some Barleans Women's Oils that also helped alot.
