Guest guest
cari..i agree with the clothing out there....its nice to have something fun to wear when you're going to go out for a night of fun..but not as your everyday wardrobe....especially for little kids....but even for those who are older..if you're going to wear something tight on top..or something that shows some of your stomache..don't wear it with shorts or a skirt...put on jeans and at least look like you're not trying to sell your body you know?....and again with the clothing for younger children....it amazes me when i see little elementary school kids wearing makeup and tube tops and mini skirts with heels.....i guess thats why public schools here now have uniforms... susan

Guest guest
Oh no...he's wonderful!!!! What a voice! Now, have you heard Josh Groban?? He's on Charlotte Church's newest CD doing a duet of the prayer. He's only 20 and his voice is, like, wonderful!! I think he's done some singing for Dawson's Creek. His debut CD will come out on Nov. 20th. Lynn --- anzavic@... wrote: > > > Have any of you ever hear of the > British Tenor? Guest guest
Cari... they usually show his show's on PBS. He's got a beautiful voice but he's just charming. As a tenor everyone told him he wouldn't make it because he's not BIG..... I'm sure now they're eating their words.... If you get a chance, try to listen to him. By the way, what's a matchbox 20? Guest guest
Matchbox 20 is a singing group. has their CD and listens to it in his room while he plays. Jeff and I like them a lot. He knows all the words to their songs. loves to sing and is quite a little dancer. We were cleaning his room last night and he wanted to dance with me. I was already on my knees cleaning off his desk so I was about his height. He put his arms around me and put his head on my shoulder so we were kind of slow dancing and talking. He gave me a kiss and said, " Mom, we should do this again sometime " and then left the room. It was a mommy moment. I laughed and got choked up at the same time. He's a hoot. He has a very sweet nature. Guest guest
Ha ha. I like the paper shredder analogy. Unfortunately, Britney Spears has really influenced the fashion industry and what is out there for girls to buy as I am sure you have noticed . It is hard to find appropriate clothing for even my girls at 8 and 9. Lots of sparkles, sequins, tight clothes etc... Jeff and I are sticklers for appropriate school clothes. They are getting harder and harder to find. Guest guest
My daughter is having the same problem with her older daughter. I think Miss Spears should realize she has that affect on the younger generation and tone it down a lot. She's dressing a little to less these days. Her mom jumped in on one of her video's and told her to wear something else... Vicki
Guest guest
Vicki, I keep a journal to write those moments down so I'll always remember. Those moments always take you by surprise. Maybe why them seem extra special. Guest guest
My girls are not allowed to wear shirts without sleeves or let their stomach's show when going to school. They can wear sleeveless for play and they have some play summer tops that shows a little belly but no tight clothes. I still have a little control over their wardrobes!! I better assert my influence while I still can! Guest guest
Me too Vicki! This east coast girl must get to bed. It is almost midnight. You, and I are not going to be very popular tomorrow when our other members wake up to over 100 messages on their e-mail because we three were chit-chatting! Oh well, I enjoyed it. Sorry everyone! Guest guest
, I don't think she directly influences them. They really aren't big fans of hers. But, I think her popularity has influenced the whole clothing industry for young girls as they try to profit off of her influence on young girls. The clothes available for my girls are just trashy. Clingy material, sparkly, guady. Way to old for them. Very hard to find just simple, fun, age appropriate clothing. Kate and came out with a line of clothes that they sell through Wal-Mart. It is for " betweeners " that is ages 8 - 13. Between being a little girl and a teenager. I had high hopes for them but have really been disappointed. Very tight clothing, a lot of belly showing. We have bought very few of their things. We will go to a few stores and find very little. They have good taste in clothes so we have very few disagreements about clothing but they get frustrated in what they find to wear too. Even the Gap Kids and Old Navy carry some wierd things. Guest guest
Yes. me too. Shelby is suddenly so independent and I let her do her own thing as much as I can but I to get to " veto " anything inappropriate. A lot of girls here are wearing that glitter to school. You know the roll on stuff, or powder. It is clear but sparkly. I have told my girls, " no way " . It is still make-up. Guest guest
If you have any of the song grabbers (music sharing programs)...like Morpheus or Gnotella, you could find a few of his songs (Josh Groban, too!!) and listen to them sing before investing.
