So if she can hear anythign at all on the phone, I'd let her try a regular phone. We use a speaker phone some for our profoundly deaf daughter. Phone technology continues to improve so by the time she's a chatty teen, she may be able to use a regular phone. Is worth a try until she can type. I know that is a stage of develpment with preschoolers and toddlers. I just don't know when we should look into it. She doesn't read yet and certainly can't type.
