Guest guest
Hi there Crystal, I am fairly certain many of our kiddos get these lumps.. I know my son did. However, if you think the helmet is pinching the bump, I wouldn't put it back on, either. Give them a call in the am and tell them you need an adjustment. Guest guest
Hi there I'm pretty sure by the sound of it that it is a harmless fluid build- up, my daughter never had them, but it's been a topic of conversation many times on the board and loads of babies get them. They are harmless, but obviously if it is preventing her wearing the band, it is best to get it checked out. Hope this helps Hannah (mum to Lucia, London, UK) Cranio grad > > thanks everyone for the warm welcome. i already need your help and > am sooooo very grateful this site is here. the ortho office is of > course closed on sundays and not sure if bella has a problem or if > this is normal. last night was her first night to sleep in her > starband. today she has a red spot that is hard, feels like a lump, > behind her ear. i haven't put the band back on because it really > pinches the lump. is it normal to get a " tough " spot on the head or > is this a serious problem. any advice is greatly appreciated. > > crystal > bella's mommy(and proud of it!!) Guest guest
I agree with Hannah but you should give your ortho a call tomorrow anyway. Guest guest
Hi Crystal, My daughter had one of these on each side and my pediatrician said they were nothign to be concerned with. They were pea sized and I think she said they were just some type of lymph nodes or something. Definitely ask your ortho or ped to be sure though. , mom to Hannah, DOCgrad Cape Cod, Ma > > thanks everyone for the warm welcome. i already need your help and > am sooooo very grateful this site is here. the ortho office is of > course closed on sundays and not sure if bella has a problem or if > this is normal. last night was her first night to sleep in her > starband. today she has a red spot that is hard, feels like a lump, > behind her ear. i haven't put the band back on because it really > pinches the lump. is it normal to get a " tough " spot on the head or > is this a serious problem. any advice is greatly appreciated. > > crystal > bella's mommy(and proud of it!!)
