i wasn't. but if that is the impression you got from my post, then i must apologize for not writing to barb more clearly. and my motivation for writing her was because i thought it possible she may have misunderstood you... although i think i can understand how someone might get the wrong impression. heck, just look at my previous post, in which i threw out jim's & my experience of encountering the "why didn't you get a second opinion?" question... as well as "why aren't you going to mt. sinai... aren't they supposed to be 'the best' transplant center?" "so what made you decide to go with USC, anyway?" "why are you and jim going on vacation to ireland... how can you justify putting jim through that, maureen, isn't he too sick to travel abroad?" etc etc etc. it got old pretty fast, having to "defend" our decisions to other people!!!

from your posts, jpanne, what has always come through, at least to me, is that you had/have no "issues" with all the medical people... just that it was very unfortunate how the hepatic artery problem wasn't discovered prior to the transplant. and yes, i sense you're too busy for any guilt trip. i don't think anything in my post inferred you were doing that???

i'm genuinely looking forward to whenever you can post an update on the guys (and you... and all of you).
