Guest guest
Robin, We have the Boppy Noggin Nest pillow to use when he is laying on his back to play or when he is in the bouncy seat or the stroller, but it isn't safe to sleep in. Our 4 1/2 month old son sleeps with wedges on both sides to wedge him into a side sleeping position. It works for the first few hours, then he sleeps completely on the flat spot. If you find anything else that works for you, let me know. Good luck. - > > Is there a safe special pillow out there or some such thing that > we > > can use to position my son's head while sleeping? Guest guest
Hi Robin, Nighttime repo is so tough once they become wiggle-worms! If your baby is scooting away from any sleep positioner that you have tried? There may be some ideas worth trying that previous group members tried for nighttime repo. Check out the files/repo headquarters/repo photos folder: foam headrest, memory foam pillow, grandam's nighttime repo set. Some other parents have tried sewing a bag of rice to one side of the back of the baby's pjs to tip them up off of the flat area and encourage them to turn their head. In the links/repo and tummy time/repo products folder, there is a Sassy wedge sleep positioner that has a wedge shape under the head area that is supposed to tip the baby's head to one side or the other. Good luck, and if you come up with an idea or product that does work for you, please share it with the group! Guest guest
Hi Robin...I want to second the things that Christie has suggested to you. There are so many ideas in the Files section under repositioning headquarters. Nighttime repo is tricky, and sometimes you have to get creative, but if the things in the Files section don't grabl you, maybe you can use them as a basis for your own creativity. And like Christie said, we are alwasy looking for more ideas so if you come up with somethingon your own, please let us know. Good luck and please keep us updated on how you and Owen are doing. Guest guest
There’s a pillow at Target in the baby department that’s marketed as a Plagio prevention tool. The box may refer to it as flat head syndrome… I can’t remember. Not sure if this is what you’re looking for, but it’s worth taking a look. Good luck!
