Sorry we didn't get to visit more! I did get to see many of you and get some TOPS hugs as you came by my table in the promo room! I just wanted say a great big thanks to all of Mona Spencer's area for putting on a fantastic SRD! You all worked very hard to see that everyone had a great time in San Angelo! Thank you! Mona Spencer is a fine lady and will be greatly missed as she retires this year! Betty Minor...you're a great MC!!! And quit the little comedianne!!! I appreciated the love for TOPS and all the membership that you displayed at all times and thank you for all your hard work as co-chair. Eshew....You worked well under all the pressure, my lady, and stayed sweet and loving in the heavy load that you carried! My hat goes off to you!!! No one knows the great responsibility and love that goes on behind the scene of these big TOPS events, unless you have been there and taken an active part in it! Mona's Crew did GOOD!!! That's all I can say!!! And I was so proud of Clara!!! What a lovely KOPS example she is to all of us!!! Seeing her graduate was the icing on the cake! When I got home, I had a beautiful Birthday card from her...which meant so much to me, that she thought of me, with all that she was doing getting ready for SRD!!!Thank you precious Lady Clara! Seems like I didn't see you very much - - just briefly behind the stage, but I always enjoy your singing so much, and this year was great, as always. Ditto your words for and Betty - - they are two exceptional gals who went way above and beyond the call of duty! I know they were both so sleep deprived that they probably slept for 48 hours when the "show" was over! They are both still trying to clear out, sort out, and reclaim their homes - - - and trying to get reacquainted with their husbands! LOL We are all going to miss Mona "BIG TIME" - - - she and Woody have been a part of my life for all the 27 years I have been in TOPS - Woody was my coordinator for many years, and he is just as kind and loving as Mona is - - - so it is going to seem really strange for someone to take over for them. I can tell you for sure, whoever it is has some mighty big shoes to fill!! We will have our Area Rally in September, so we will have one more function with Mona before she retires the first of November. How is Tonya doing??? I sure miss seeing her posts here!!!!
