Guest guest
How do I go about getting something pre-authorized with Tricare? Find the music you love on MSN Music! Hey guys the key to TRICARE is to have an on-post provider refer you out and have it PRE authorized. I've faxed our paperwork to someone that had been denied, and not even that helped. We had it 100% covered, but like I said. All about getting it aproved before it's done. Guest guest
Hi Johanna You have to go see an ON post provider. Once they put in a referal Tricare should schedule the whole thing. They automaticly give you paperwork saying it is preauthorized. The tricky thing is to get a provider to say yes. They usually know what tricare doesn't want to see. Good luck, and let me know how it goes. Where are you? Sandy WIllow's Mom Heidelberg / Germany >
Guest guest
Sandy, We are in Salina, KS. My DH's base station is actually Wichita, KS, but that is over 50 miles away. My husband has had referals from his civilian doc. put through to Tricare and been approved to see specialists out of network so I guess what I have to try is having my ped put in a referral for the specific doc I want to see and see what happens. Guest guest
Johanna Please keep me updated on this issue. It is very interesting to see that some they pay, and some they do not. Can you let Tricare schedule the apt AFTER your doc puts in the referral. Kind of letting them set it all up. that is how we did it, and the only thing we ever got was the EOB saying that they had paid $3996something so... Not 100% sure on the number anymore. It is in the database Good luck Sandy Willow's Mom >
