Guest guest
Hi, Just do your homework, make sure that the STARband ortho has experience. Experience is a must when it comes to bands. Call the OKC place and ask to speak to the ortho. Ask him/her how much experience he/she has in treating plagio babies, how many babies has he actually treated and can she give your references. The more experience the better. If he/she has little or no experience then yes, I think you should load up the van and go to Cranial Tech. --- In Plagiocephaly , " dixondara " <dixondara@y...> wrote: > > Since I first wrote, we got Jack diagnosed with Tort, and start TP > tomorrow. Guest guest
Since you already know that you're dealing with plagio and you're considering banding, is it necessary to see the neurosurgeon to refer you to STAR? Can you just call STAR yourself? Save the wait and run- around? I'm not sure it works that way...but that way you could deal with closer treatment and not have to wait over a month to get the ball rolling. Just a thought...they grow sooo fast at this stage. , mom to Emma 6 mo. tort/plagio/docBand 10/25 Cleveland, OH > > > > Since I first wrote, we got Jack diagnosed with Tort, and start TP > > tomorrow. Guest guest
If you can get a prescription from your pediatrician, than yes, you could just refer yourself. It may shave a few weeks off your wait time! Many peds are not plagio friendly though, but it could be worth the try! , mom to Hannah, DOCgrad Cape Cod, Ma > > > > > > Since I first wrote, we got Jack diagnosed with Tort, and start TP > > > tomorrow.
