i have been thinking about getting one of these for isabella because

everyone seems to have rave reviews. my question is: bella is 7

months old, is she too old/big for it? she can sit up if i put her

in the sitting position, but occasionally still topples over. i

know the website says for children up to 12 months, i just didn't

want to spend the money if it's something she won't use. any

opinions?? thanx!!

We bought a bumbo seat when my son was about three months old and it was

great when he couldn't sit up on his own. However, Quinn is now 8 months

old and we probably haven't used it in two months. Once he was sitting up

on his own, I rarely put him in it any more. I think you could still use it

for feeding and such but you probably wouldn't get too much use out of it at

this point.

Hi Crystal. I agree that as your dd gets bigger she won't use it

much. I found that as became mobile she didn't care to be

confined in the chair, and if she arched her back hard enough she

was able to pop herself out of it. Not a big safety concern to me

because by that time she was only using it on the floor so she

didn't have far to fall. But if your child isn't stiing on her own

consistently maybe it would be a good thing for a little while. I

guess you have to use your own judgement. You know your dd so only

you really know if she would really enjoy it. That's my 2 cents.

hi there

i posted before about the bumbos and they are absolutely brill i have them

for my twins who are almost 11 months but annalice who is seriously on the

move does through her self out of it and harry throws himself back so i have

to lean the chairs against something normally the sofa i do feel it would of

been a better idea for the back to be higher however they have been a

godsend as they are very small and easy to transport about , good luck with

your decision and i hope this has helped

Crystal,

We got one for a cousin's baby. Well I just had to check it out first. na attached herself to it She was 14 months old. She loved it. She didn't need it but she would got sit in it and take a book to read - LOL. We finally gave it to our cousin when na was 17 months old. You will get tons of use out of it and you can always pass it along to a friend.
