Guest guest
Hi, I started Armour about 4 weeks ago, and am still on 30 mg (15 x2 daily). I can't seem to take any more because of adrenal reactions. I don't feel much if any improvement yet. It's actually worse to be totally fatigued and so irritable (and 'disturbed' in my body) that i can't tolerate anything -- which is what happens when i try to raise the armour dose. That seems to be the only alternative for me to the hypothyroid condition -- totally fatigued and not caring about much of anything. I'm starting to get depressed here, due to circumstances instead of brain chemistry for a change. I'm on a strong nutritional program with an unusual MD (who prescribed the Armour, and did good tests). But he doesn't seem to be able to tell me anything about helping the adrenal problem except " be patient " . But how can the adrenals ever improve if they are constantly taxed? He does prescribe a VitC, magnesium, taurine combo to help the reaction, but taking enough of this to help turns my guts into a gas factory and they feel terrible (among other things!). I am doing the ASI saliva test, and have been looking forward to going on Isocort or MilAdregen, etc, as the Clymer Center advocates. I've been reading the Poesnecker books. Has anyone had experience with these? But I hear so much about people not tolerating Isocort, etc, that I wonder if that's the solution. Nearly everyone on these lists seems ot go on HC eventually, and I know my nutrion and nature-oriented doc is not going to prescribe that for me. Has anyone with these issues managed to titrate up their Armour dose without it? grateful for any advice, insight...help! NJ
