Re: Head Size/Forehead Shape Concern

I looked at your picture. I will be looking for the side view too.

Our son's head slopes and yours looks longer but the bossing is very

familiar! Our cranial facial specialist had told us that some babies

just have very prominent foreheads. He didn't seem concerned at

all. Actually we have had people comment on his prominent brow so I

know I wasn't imagining it. Did you get an x-ray? Is there any

possibility that a fat deposit contributes? My dad swears I looked

the same as a baby! Your son is really beautiful and I want to

reassure you because I was so worried about the bossing too at one

time! I was constantly looking info up and asking questions. I

think it is just the babies feature right now. I don't think that

head size and plagio relate. I also understand that once the plagio

is addressed that the helmet keeps the forehead in check while the

back of the head fills out. Then, there is no force pressing the brow

to boss any further. Now it should grow uniformly. Also, I think

the adult head really does elongate and that the child's face is

going to change as he ages. I imagine your son was born with a

prominent brow as ours was. I have a feeling that in time we will

wonder why we worried so much but it sure can be a struggle now!

Best wishes and please let us know what happens with the ultrasound.
