Guest guest
I have a legal question for you, that others on the list might have knowledge of. Generally, when EMS calls in a patient report to a hospital, the nurses, doctors or techs who answer the phone or radio, jot down the information on a form or in a book. Is this information discoverable in proceedings? And if it is, shouldn't that form be attached to patient records? And If there re Hospital types on the list, does your facility attach these forms? Guest guest
I have seen them supoened and discovered many times. They do not involve a patient-physician or attorney-client privilege issue. In fact, they may be considered public record as they are a log resulting from use of the public airways (i.e. cell phone, EMS radio frequencies).
