Greetings,

For those who don't know me, I'm the original tooth guy. After about 4 years

of daily dermographism, worse at night, I found relief in having an infected

tooth and surrounding bone repaired. The tooth never hurt and I had seen a

dentist regularly and it wasn't until I had changed from my old dentist to a

new one that the infection was discovered. It was around this time that the

tooth did become sensitive when chewing something hard. On my first visit a

full series of X-Rays were taken with the digital equipment. It was a

passing comment the dentist made that got me thinking. He said " looks like

some infection there, we'll keep an I on it " . It was decided that a root

canal was needed and antibiotic prescribed. The tooth never got better even

after several rounds of different antibiotics. In order to save the tooth an

apicoectomy was suggested and I had it done, this time with Clindamycin.

During the apico the oral surgeon commented that there was extensive

infection in the bone and he spent considerable time grinding off the

infected bone. I began to get better.

If anyone would like to discuss the details feel free to send an email.

Thanks,

C. Malcolm
