Guest guest
Well friends I have been lurking a lot since I changed email addys due to the fact that I usually check my email at work and now cannot. That makes it difficult for me as I have to fight for computer time at home. Got a call from my urogynocologist today and I am scheduled for surgery on October 29. She is going to place a sling around my bladder to help give me more support and hopefully more control. Now maybe I wont have to invest in Depends stock after all !!!! It is an outpatient procedure but I will be out of work until the first of December recouping and regrouping. My rheumy has reduced my prednisone to 10 mg/day and upped my methotrexate to .8 mg/week. When I have my surgery I will get what is called a super steroid dose the morning of my surgery (almost 10x what I normally take in a day) which she says will help my body adjust to the surgery. Interesting huh !!! Feeling pretty darn good the past couple weeks. Cant explain why although I have been sleeping better since my rheumy changed my sleepy meds from Doxepin to Ambien. I love that stuff !!!! Sleep like my old self most of the time now. I am also going to physical therapy 2x a week now and that seems to be helping too. My therapist is great with massage and then wraps me in a heat jacket that really relaxes my muscles. This all came about after my last rheumy visit. She informed me that she thinks I may have developed some fibromyalgia on top of the PM. When it rains it pours it seems !!! Hope all is well with everyone and I will try and do a better job of keeping up with the happenings here in the future. Im sure I will be spending a lot of time here while I am home after my surgery !!!

Guest guest
, Your boss isn't giving you a hard time about having the surgery, I hope. You need to concentrate on gettting better and recovery, not worrying about what is going on at the office.
