After reading your post I am sitting in the theater watching Hard Days Night with my best friends. Back then we could buy our ticket and watch the double feature all day long, over and over. One week the other movie was Beach Blanket Bingo. I used to be able to recite the words along with the stars. LOLI was a huge Beatlemaniac! I saw them live in Las Vegas in '64. I ran alongside this very limo in this youtube clip! ROFLhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xi_dJKDm8yM & feature=relatedhugs))))SharonThis email is a natural

AWESOME! I doubt my parents would have let ME do that (probably due to my only being 10 at the time) Hugs Akiba -- Re: ~~~ The Beatles After reading your post I am sitting in the theater watching Hard Days Night with my best friends. You are too sweet, Dana :o) LOL When I saw the Beatles in August 1964 I had just turned 13. It's funny this subject came up today because I have a box of old photos that belonged to my dad that I've been

searching through while doing genealogy.... and that's when I happened across a photo just last night of my girlfriend and I on our trip back from Las Vegas. My father bought us both tickets and my parents drove us to Las Vegas for the show. We had such a blast! My parents waited outside the arena and were a tad worried during the show to see dozens of girls laid out on the grass with medics attending to them. They had fainted when they saw the Beatles! Anyway, I saw these terrible goofy photos of us, grinning, wearing my cool sunglasses, hamming it up and trying to talk like we were British. I noticed in the photo I had my "I Love Ringo" button on. The picture quality is very poor but I'll attach it. I'm on the left with the sunglasses and the "I Love Ringo" button. The picture was taken at Lake Mead. There was an embarrassing thing that happened at the

concert. I was mentioned in the newspaper the following day as the girl who stood on her chair and screamed "Here I am Ringo". I don't think I actually said that. I know I was screaming "Ringo" but.... oh well, who can remember now? We had excellent seats in the second row in front of the stage. Liberace and his niece sat in front of us and he turned around and talked to us at length before the show. He was so nice and down to earth. I was very jealous that he and his niece went back stage after the show to meet the Beatles. He even apologized and said he wished he could take us with him. Wonderful guy! It's been fun today remembering that experience and all the fun we had. By the way, I was at the back right window of the limo and was face to face with Lennon. He was laughing and waving at all of us. We chased the limo until it picked up speed. But at least

I didn't faint like all those wimps on the front lawn and miss the whole thing! LOL Sharon

Hi, Sharon:

Cool to see your photo. Your friend has the awesome frames for her glasses.

I believe I bought an "I love Ringo" button at a flea market in the 1970s when there was a Beatles revival going on. I know for sure I bought one of those inflatable Beatle dolls at a flea market. But, alas, both vanished into the ether at some point.

Hi Dana:Thanks. Yes, Joy had some really cool frames. lol I had so many really cool Beatles collectibles including life-size posters that I had mounted on my closet doors. I will admit right here out in public that every night I kissed Ringo goodnight. LOL I also had a very rare flexible vinyl record of the Beatles singing Good King Wenceleslas as a special mailed Christmas greeting to the fan club members. They sang the Christmas song and then said greetings to their fans. I think this was Christmas of 1964, so it was very early on. Unfortunately I lost everything when our house burned to the ground when I was 15. Also lost was the first Barbie (with the bubble hairdo) with the outfits she had in the beginning: Airline Stewardess uniform, white nurse uniform with traditional white hat and white stockings and her black shiny evening gown that

was tight down to below her knees and then flared out like a movie star would wear. I had some other outfits too including one with a pillbox hat. I have read that many of Barbies clothes in the early sixties were fashioned after Jackie Kennedy. Oh well... if I hadn't lost all that stuff when I was 15 I would have lost it in my next house fire in 1988 (?). Easy come....harder to go! It's been fun going down memory lane....Sharon This email is a natural hand made product.
