This is not really advice but more of a respond. I was just talking

to my husband about this very thing. I was hospitalized last June

for a DVT to my left arm, they put me on coumadin and heparin and I

started having problems with my thyroid meds and severe anxiety (I

had never anxiety before). I was suppossed to stay on it for 6

months but on October 1st I took myself off of it. I went to my doc

a few days later and told him that taking coumadin was awful and he

agreed to let me stay off of it. I have never been the same since

taking coumadin. I was on synthroid for my thyroid at that time and

then started the swing between hyper and hypo. In November they

discovered I have hashi's as well. All I can say is ask your doc if

there is something else you can do instead of taking the coumadin.

Enyzmes would also be a solution. Coumadin is nasty stuff, they don't

call it rat poison for nothing.

The tyrptophan that I take is Professional complementary health formulas,

I've only been able to get this from my naturopath. I've looked to see if I

could get it on my own but have not found a source. This was my life saver

when coming of anti-depressants.

Ahhh that could be. Last time I was on coumadin I was taking effexor. So

that would of calmed the anxiety. I also was taking synthroid then too.

Luckily I only have to take this for about another 3 1/2 weeks. And I feel

better taking it, because I do have a mild clotting disorder and since I'm

stuck sitting for 6 weeks, I don't want to clot. I'll see if the

hematologist will run some thyroid labs for me when they take blood on

Tuesday and see if I've swung hyper. I know I'm not sleeping as well the

last few night, but I'm also having sweats again. Uugghh. I want my

supplements back. I'm counting the days!!!

I believe so, that's why they only say 500mgs of C. I have found lots of

I'll send you some info regarding enzymes. Planning my daughter's b'day party

for

tomorrow, so not much time right now. Will try to send on Wednesday. If I

forget, remind

me!!

I am a major advocate for enzyme therapy for a myriad of conditions.

Even though I had found the 'magic formula' of various supplements for

many health problems, the enzymes are what gave me best results when

added to the other stuff. Especially with any inflammatory

conditions, but with others as well. They are great for keeping blood

from clotting more than it should, also and dissolving existing clots.

Although as a caveat, if you have symptoms of a clot in the leg, get

yourself to an ER pronto. You don't want to fool around with that.

Enzymes could handle that also, but maybe not fast enough to prevent

death.
