Hello all,

Thanks for all the replies to my post!!! For those who missed, I had

upper and lower surgery to correct my " old " class III malocclusion on

Thursday morning. I can barely see that my teeth meet correctly now

though due to the splint and all the swelling. My face feels like

it'll burst if it gets any larger! Just 48 hours ago I was just

getting prepped for the OR. I am so glad to have that part of the

journey done. Now if I can just get through this swelling and

congestion. Just got to keep my mind on the final outcome, eh?

Last night was rather sleepless night here at home (on and off for 20-

30 minutes at a stretch), although it was better than the first night

at the hospital. Early this morning I decided to move out to the

living room to rest on the recliner...figured my wife could use a

good stretch of shut-eye without hearing me getting up, moving

around, or wheezing through this awful sinus congestion.

Yesterday, just before leaving the hospital, I was down in Oral

Surgery dept for a PANO x-ray to evaluate the surgical outcome

radiographically. Anyways, one of the residents who assisted on my

case said he'd gotten some great photos throughout the surgery. When

he asked if I'd like to see them I told him to wait for a month or

so, then I'd have a look!

Hope you all have a great day, and happy healing to those post-op!

> Hello all,

,

Sounds like you're doing great. Keep it up. Have you tried the

sudafed? Hmmm wonder if I can borrow a recliner somewhere? You're

not the first who's found relief that way. How's the eating going?

Are you getting enough liquids down?

Cheryl
