Guest guest
I have two suggestions... Immodium for the diarrhea.. i find that to be more effective than pepto bismol, and the other thing that works for me, although it seems counter intuitive, is more fiber... it would seem that more fiber would make you go more, but i find for me, that it gives my system something to work on and seems to normalize it. barb > Hi again, everyone... > > I'm still having the indigestion problems, and as before my RAI, everything > I eat seems to be going right through me. Guest guest
The best thing I've ever used for diarrhea is Kaopectate. It takes care of the problem right away. As for gas, I use Gas-x. I'm still having the indigestion problems, and as before my RAI, everything I eat seems to be going right through me. Lots of gas, diarrhea, upset tummy, etc. I tried going to the doctor today, but he said he couldn't really help me at all. I've tried taking Pepto Bismal (pill form), and that helped at first, but doesn't seem to now. Guest guest
I have a cast-iron stomach and can usually eat anything, but I travel to third world countries frequently, and that's when I get diahhrea. I used to have my Dr. write prescriptions for lomotil and keep that on hand, but Imodium seems to work just as fast as lomotil and it is available without a prescription. Give it a try. Guest guest
I don't know if you've tried the obvious -- frequent, *very* small snacks. Good luck. bj More yucky hypo fun > I'm still having the indigestion problems, and as before my RAI, everything I eat seems to be going right through me. Guest guest
I just wanted to say thanks to everybody for their help I've picked up some Immodium to take with me on our trip. I'll try that, and if it doesn;t work I'll try Kaopectate. I read that Immodium is an antispasmosdic (or something like that???) while Kaopectate works more to thicken things, and it absorbs bacteria that causes the problem... but it said it absorbs bacteria that aids in digestion too, so I thought that might not be the best choice since I do plan to be eating, just want the diarrhea to stop. I imagine hypo diarrhea would be caused by spasming too, wouldn't it? Rather than bacteria... Just a hunch. SO! Anyway, thanks to everyone. We're headed out in the morning, so I'll be setting myself to no-mail now. Have a great week everyone Re: More yucky hypo fun > I have two suggestions...
