Is the softer DOC band better?

Hello there

I'm not sure about the answer to this question, but just wanted to

reasure you that casting sounds worse than it is. It is a very

exact method in getting the mould done, and most kids do just fine.

The cries / screaming is anger, not pain.

What do you mean by softer DOCband? DOC and STARbands are both

lined with a soft foam and have a hard plastic outer shell. Cranial

Technologies, Dallas included, still does not have scanning

avaliable. Their digitizer is still in clinical trials. The

casting really isn't so bad, it's over quick, and if the baby cries

it's just b/c they're mad about being held down!

I thought I read descriptions of DOC and Star bands that described

the outer shell of DOC band as semi-soft and the Star band as hard.

I have never seen either maybe someone could describe them to me or

tell me where to read better descriptions.
