Guest guest
It is 1:30 a.m. I am almost done getting things ready for our feast. I baked the apple, pumpkin, and mincemeat pies. The bread is done. Whipped cream is ready to go. The chocolate mousse pie is done. I made up the deviled eggs, stuffed celery, olive and pickle dishes. I stuffed half the celery with cream cheese and the other half with peanut butter. The 2 cranberry dishes are chilling. I have made up the green bean casserole and the sweet potato casserole are all ready to bake. The 2 turkeys are ready 1 is in the brine ready to be fried and the other one has a garlic bulb with rosemary sage and thyme herb bunches are in the cavity all ready to be baked. The herb-ed butter is all made up to rub on the turkey when it is 3 quarters done. I have peeled the squash and carrots. The cream sauce is done for the baby pearl onions. The cheese sauce is done for the mac and cheese casserole. All I have left to do is peel the potatoes for mashed taters and cook the pasta. I have the nuts in their bowl with three nut crackers all ready to go. I am in extreme pain right now but everything is ready to go in case my body will not let me do anything later on today. I have written out instructions on what needs to be done and how long they have to cook for. I am going all out for this Thanksgiving because my father may not be here next year. I have to feed 14 people. Thankfully my hubby is also good in the kitchen. So in case my body says no more I know things will go without a hitch hopefully. Gentle hugs, Ms.Katurah
