Guest guest
EMS/Trauma Registry Team You are invited to participate on a team related to the Texas EMS/Trauma Registry. Your insight and collaboration are greatly appreciated as we work together to ensure that reporting rules, data elements, reports and functions of the registry represent the EMS providers, hospitals and RACs throughout the state. 1. How are we going to do this? E-mail, conference calls, and quarterly meetings (GETAC and related sub-committees). I realize that your time is in demand and travel is restrictive, however, I believe that we can work together by telephone conferences, email/electronic means, and having meetings scheduled around meetings of GETAC and related sub-committees. 2. Why do we want you to be involved? We are taking a proactive stance and as we do this we want to involve those that represent the system and to work as partners. 3. Who will be on this team? Regional EMS Director representatives, 2; RAC representatives, 2; Hospital representatives, 2; EMS provider representatives, 2; Pediatric hospital representative, and BEM representative. I will be contacting the appropriate groups for participants during the upcoming GETAC meetings in November. 4. Goals: Provide a forum that will provide mutual support, collaborative input and assistance for EMS providers, hospitals, and RACs related to Texas EMS/Trauma registry issues. 5. Objectives: 1. Collaborate on reporting rules and requirements 2. Collaborate on issues related to providers, i.e., new registry system, data elements, etc. 3. What you like to see from the Texas EMS/Trauma Registry? a. Reports (types of reports) 6. The first issue that we will be working on is: Reporting Rule Requirements - All Emergency Runs Please contact me if you are interested in participating on the team. First meeting will be December via e-mail and maybe a follow-up conference call. Then face to face at the first GETAC meeting of 2002.
