Yeast Connection

Hi, I recently finished a round of antibiotics for a sore on my leg.

It killed off all the beneficial bacteria in my stomach and I got very

sick. The doctors took a culture to confirm this and put me on

another course of antibiotics and I gradually got over it.

A friend sent me an add that claims fibromyalgia could very well be

caused by a yeast overgrowth due to the over use of antibiotics. He

believes this is why I had my recent flare up.

Have any of you looked in to the possibility that fibromyalgia could

be caused by yeast infestation? The symptoms of yeast overgrowth are

similar to those of fibromyalgia - believe it or not!

Hi ,

The FM doc I've seen in Chicago had done research and has found a lot

of FM patients have high scores of Candida (yeast overgrowth). So

yes, this is possible.

I tested very high and am taking herbal supplements from my healer

rather than the perscribed med by my doc because my stomach lining is

extremely weak and it cannot tolerate the harsh perscribed meds (so he

wants me to wait until it gets stronger). The herbal supplements is

strictly a PH balancer. This route will take at least 6 months to

kill the Candida whereas my doc route would take 3 months.

I'd look into it if you were on a lot of antibiotics (I certainly was

as a kid)!

Hello, all...

In reference to this new topic, 4 years ago I most died from contaminated well water (invested with Coliforms). By the time the Docs figured what I had, I had been treated too many times with Antibiotics for 'supposed' stomach viruses.

Consequently, I ended up with C. Difficile, which is a severe infection in my intestines. Last year, I was hospitalized 8 days for C.Dif. for the 3rd time, each time resulting from TOO much antibiotics!!!

So, I truly believe now there IS a connection!! It was 2003 when I really started to feel BAD and last year was worse.

'Just wanted to share my experiences in case it may help someone else....

Take care,

Hi ,

I believe I'm going to try a pro-biotic - at $15.00 a month it would

be cheap compared to other medications I'm trying. I did a search

in the archives on yeast overgrowth and there are no references to

it. I believe it would be worth a try - if it works, I'll let you

know.

Hi a,

I had this too: C. Difficile - it is nasty stuff. I'm rid of it

now (at least the symptoms) but my flare up started soon after I had

the bout with C. Diff. I'm going to try the probiotics. I already

ordered so I can order from the company that recommended

but I'll stay with this for a couple of months and if I don't see

any improvement I'll try the other.

There is also such a thing as " die off " - your symptoms can get

worse as these beasties die off in mass - the toxins can make your

symptoms worse for a short time... then you should see improvement.

I'm involved in a group on yahoo.

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SelfExperimenters

It is a group that teaches a scientific method of keeping track of

symptoms and documenting how we feel, what we eat, what works and

what doesn't. I believe I'll use the pro-biotics as a " self "

experiment. We with FMS have to self experiemtn because different

things seem to work for different people and we need to find what

works with us.

I wanted to add that C. Diff is a hospital virus. When I worked at a hospital in Florida as a Med. Surg. Tech, I came in contact with alot of patients who had this. It's highly contagious, and we would have to gown up, mask up and glove up, when dealing with patients who had contracted this during their hospital stay, a few patients got so bad we had to transport them to ICU. Anyway, I just wanted to add that C-Diff is nothing to mess with.

see mannapages.com for help with fighting off toxins

that cause all of these diseases.

My acct. #1086331 You will need this number to get

into my associate directory.

I started on the Glyconutrients about 2 months ago and

honey, let me tell you within days I noticed a

difference in the way I felt. I use to be so tired

and now I have so much energy. I use to take between

15 to 20 medications today and now all I take is maybe

some tylenol for my back pain as I have a torn L4 and

L5 with a bulging disc.

My doctor who specializes in this autoimmune diseases

introduced me to them and it has been such a blessing

to my Mother and I. She is doing so much better now

too. It is all heaven sent.

Well, take care and let me know what you think about

the products. Also check out Glycoscience.org,

Glyconutrients.com and learn about what we needed to

know years ago.
